Thanks to a mix of a little skill and a whole lot of blind luck, Saul has suddenly landed at the center of the biggest online drama of his life.

Okay, maybe that’s an exaggeration—but that’s definitely how it feels to him. After only a month of speedrunning an old title called Bomber Bros. 3, he’s already climbed near the top of the leaderboard thanks to one unbelievably lucky run. Overnight, he’s gone from a complete unknown to one of the most talked-about players in the entire community.

But as rumors spread and top runners whisper among themselves about whether his run was legit, Saul tries to stay focused and block out the chaos…

Because Saul has a date to get to—and with a very handsome deer, no less.
And for once in his life, he’s determined not to screw things up… even if it means rewinding time over and over again to fix his mistakes.

…oh, right. Did I forget to mention he can time travel?

High Score Hyrax is a gay visual novel created for the Novembuck 2025 Game Jam. It’s about 12,700 words long and centers heavily on player choice—Saul can rewind time at almost any moment, letting him redo past decisions or unlock new options using knowledge he gained from future choices.

Because of this mechanic, playtime can vary a lot, ranging from about 15 minutes to around an hour. The game currently features three endings, plenty of branching dialogue paths, and one (very) charming deer bachelor.
