I developed this project in Unity and built my own in-engine dialogue system to support it. The system uses a node-based graph that makes it easy to create and manage dialogue while offering a variety of features and customization options.
The tool was designed so that writers or designers could work with it and create dialogue without needing programming knowledge or a deep understanding of Unity.
I was inspired by games like the Ace Attorney series, especially the way characters animate into different poses before speaking. Implementing a similar animated character system was something I really wanted as a core feature.
The story had been in my mind for quite some time, and I finally decided to write it last year. I’m very pleased to see it come to life using my own artwork and code.
