Introduction:
After Dark is a mix of a furry visual novel and an RPG. where you play as Kage Dark (default player name), an odd and intriguing creature that is neither human nor beastkin more popularly known as a “Half-breed” and you follow his journey as he matures and changes, starting on his first day of university. However, there are forces at play that prevent him from establishing a normal life, and as a result, things quickly start to spiral out of control.
How does this differ from other visual novels/games?
The viewpoint of the player character himself is the first of several distinctions. I was looking for a guy who could take charge of his life, who had ambitions for the future, and who told the story from the viewpoint of the top (none of this bottom rubbish, at least not yet).
Second, of the few VNs I’ve played, I haven’t encountered many battle systems like After Dark’s RPG-style. I got off my ass and did it myself because I’ve really wanted to see more of this in visual novels (made a badge and all).
