Introduction:
Freelance photography may be difficult, particularly if you have to assist a bear that is excitedly pursuing a 40-meter-tall monster. He is certain that he has a way to assist people coexist peacefully with the enormous animals that threaten their houses. All you want is to get home without getting trampled underfoot.
The short narrative Big Steps was written for the NovemBear 2024 Furry Visual Novel Jam and is a goofy romance that takes its loving cues from Japanese suitmation kaiju movies from the 20th century. All of the assets were produced in November 2024.
MakoOtter created the artwork. ForsetiFox is the musician. NoteYote wrote and programmed it. Sexuality is mentioned in Big Steps. Although there isn’t any on-screen nudity in the main plot, the game does have an optional NSFW bonus scene. Only readers who are at least eighteen years old are supposed to read it.
Controls for Keyboard:
- To activate the interface and move the dialogue along, press Enter.
- To move the conversation forward without making any selections, press Space.
- To move about the UI, use the Arrow keys.
- You may reach the game menu by pressing Escape.
- Holding down CTRL will allow you to bypass the conversation.
- Toggle conversation skipping by using Tab.
- To return to the previous conversation, use the Page up button.
- Click “Down” to access the dialogue at a later time.
- To hide the user interface, press H.
- To snap a sc~reenshot, press S.
- Toggle assistive self-voicing with V.
- To enter the accessibility menu, use Shift+A.
Controls for Mouse:
- A left click advances the conversation and opens the interface.
- The user interface is hidden with a middle click.
- The game menu may be accessed with a right-click.
- To return to the previous conversation, click the rollback side button with the mouse wheel up.
- Downing the mouse wheel advances to a subsequent conversation.
