Introduction:
Crimson Creek is a short visual novel that combines aspects of horror, mystery, and slice-of-life. You take on the role of Terry and Shane, two boyfriends who go on what appears to be a typical camping vacation in the Pine Barrens. However, they encounter the Jersey Devil and decide to attempt filming it for Pawtube. They discover that they are significantly out of their element.
With a few “Investigation Sections” that allow you to interview and question characters in the plot by debating themes, searching for hints, and giving evidence to keep the conversation going, the game is slightly over 15,000 words long and entirely linear.
