Dark Water

Far beneath the ocean’s surface, where the faintest traces of light can no longer reach, you drift through the icy depths. Darkness surrounds you completely. Though you cannot see the world above, you know it exists—a place filled with wonders just beyond your reach.

What can you do about it? Nothing. You know that if you attempt to rise toward the surface, the crushing pressure will tear your body apart. Enclosed by the endless sea, isolated and confined, it seems your fate is to remain in this eternal darkness until your final breath…

Dark Water is a visual novel created for the 2026 May Wolf Game Jam. Drawing inspiration from Basque culture, it explores mature themes and is intended for readers aged 18 and older. While it discusses sensitive subjects, it contains no sexual content.

This game was released without beta testing, so you may encounter typos, grammatical errors, and occasional awkward wording. These issues will be addressed after the game jam’s judging period. Future updates will also include additional artwork, new music, and an extra ending to further enrich the experience.
