Empty Crosses

The narrative follows Raymond Kilmont, a deacon in the village of Echo, as he navigates the anguish of his past, present, and future, all of which continue to reflect on him. Raymond is still dealing with the trauma of the lake incident. He is devastated, unable to move on, and in need of affection as a result of such a severe tragedy. As the only surviving son of the Byrnes, Murdoch is also scarred from that day eight years ago. He also needs an experience of love in his life. The two are thrown together and become close in ways they never would have imagined.
