Introduction:
This is a prototype for a low-poly, cinematic space-western FPS inspired by Half-Life 1.
The demo already features plenty of striking sci-fi visuals and space-fascist jackals to tear through, though it currently consists of a single level. The focus leans heavily—if not more so—toward atmosphere and cinematic presentation, showcasing a harsh desert world and towering ancient brutalist megastructures, alongside classic boomer-shooter combat. Built in Godot, the project draws strong inspiration from early Source-engine titles.
If and when it’s completed, it will likely release as a short, affordable experience similar to Matterpunk, but with a more linear structure.
The story is envisioned as a space-western revolution, following the indigenous Rabet people as they resist an imperialist force. Their world is occupied by the Gakal empire, led by a genocidal tyrant seeking to exploit the planet’s natural energy for himself. Players take on the role of Jak, a Rabet warrior regarded as a chosen figure in his culture, who sets out to assassinate the tyrant—liberating his people and dismantling the emperor’s totalitarian control over both conquered civilizations and his own working class.
