On Adastra, things have changed. The emergence of the Human has changed the galaxy’s political trajectory. The sapients he met on the Wolven moon are left wondering what ought to be done after his departure.

The Parents, the purportedly all-knowing, all-powerful entities in charge of Galaxias, have a plan that only they know about but that calls for all of humanity’s cooperation. Scipio, a young wolf on a diplomatic trip to Khemia, begins to question whether these Parents actually do have all the answers as it becomes increasingly suspicious. He begins to question whether others exist.
