Introduction:
Trapped inside a mysterious Dome and being forced to solve a murder case, Chive O’Higgins must work together with a cast of oddball characters to investigate and debate the facts of the case and catch the killer.
On a routine December 26th, Chive is abruptly thrown into a murder investigation when his mysterious neighbor, Mischief Applegate, is discovered fatally stabbed in the lobby of his apartment complex. With no other option than to solve the crime, Chive enlists the help of his gregarious and vivacious cousin Shallot Fogg, a spirited savant named RJ Miller, and a prurient telemarker named Herb Petters.
As the mysterious clock ticks away, the four of them have to search every square inch of the crime scene for the evidence they need to identify the person who killed Mischief. It gradually becomes evident that what seemed to be a straightforward homicide is everything but as time goes on and the truth comes to light.
A tiny number of the witnesses and suspects Chive encounters while looking into other odd happenings make up the cast of the first case in One Thousand Acts of Decency, a murder-mystery graphic novel with a large cast of oddball, anthropomorphic characters. Story arcs that span several cases will conclude as the truth about the Dome is revealed; this will happen as cases are solved.
By transporting the arguments to the actual places under investigation, One Thousand Acts of Decency offers a fresh take on the genre by fusing the gameplay styles of Danganronpa and Ace Attorney. The visual novel can be operated with a mouse, keyboard, gamepad, and is compatible with Windows, Linux, Mac, and Android, touch screen.
One Thousand Acts of Decency contains three exciting cases to solve, which, in total, are approximately sixteen hours in length, or around 275,278 words.
