The Farthest View is an interactive mystery-romance fantasy visual novel that follows a group of friends as they have a supernatural encounter on a remote island.
Introduction:
Nightfall, a secluded island in the Northern Atlantic, is perhaps one of the least obvious locations to celebrate your recent graduation. However, Thomas and his pals intend to spend the upcoming month there. One thing quickly becomes evident: Thomas most likely would not have consented to that trip if he had known what he was getting himself into.
The lack of internet service will soon be their least problem. Something unusual is happening beneath the island’s rugged landscape and its similarly rugged residents.
The local tales of odd apparitions and haunted places soon seem less remote as one after another starts to see things they can’t rationally explain. Additionally, Thomas can’t stop thinking about the mysterious son of their local landlord, who appears to be somehow involved in all of this.
He must uncover Nightfall’s best-kept secret and learn the truth about what transpired on the island before things get out of hand. In addition, he must balance trying to win over his new love interest with managing his buddies’ increasingly complex relationship. However, the human cost of discovering the truth could be great.

- Carefully hand-drawn backgrounds, characters and animations
- A thoughtful, grown-up story (mostly) with lots of light-hearted banter, some heavy drama, and a sprinkle of existential horror
- A Furry Visual Novel without any Bara shit beefed up gym guys (sorry to disappoint, twinks do exist)
- Contains gay stuff, some of which might be explicit in future builds
- A couple of interactive elements to keep things interesting
