Introduction:

You were moving. Another day on campus. There’s another burden on your chest.
However, then… Something changed.
The entire globe shudders. The air is filled with an odd tune. Under you, the ground vanishes.
You’re not taken somewhere else. You’ve been eaten.
In the brief psychological-fantasy visual novel Into the Abyss, the line separating myth and thought cracks and reality abruptly breaks. Not only will you enter an other reality, but you will also enter your own subconscious regrets, anxieties, and memory shards.
Vibrant narration, an interior monologue, and bizarre transitions will allow you to feel what happens when everything you know falls apart.
Feeling, observing, and descending are the only options available at this time.

Hi, I’m Pete a physics graduate student who spends too much time thinking about what makes people fall apart… and what helps them hold on. This is my first visual novel. I didn’t make it to impress anyone. I made it because there are moments quiet, unraveling moments where words alone aren’t enough. You need atmosphere. You need silence.
You need to fall through something. I’ve always loved stories that blur the line between the real and the surreal, between thought and emotion. This small project came from that space somewhere between exhaustion and imagination, between anxiety and hope. I hope you’ll find something in it that resonates, even for just a moment.
